Tennis at Château Saint-Martin & Spa
One of my favourite parts of staying at Château Saint-Martin & Spa, part of Oetker Collection, was having tennis right there on the property.
The hotel has a carpet court, surrounded by greenery and set into the hills above Vence. It feels very private, very Riviera, and completely different from playing at a city club. You are surrounded by cypress trees, Mediterranean vegetation and that quiet South of France atmosphere that makes even a morning practice feel a little more special.
I loved how naturally tennis fits into the rhythm of the hotel.
You can play early in the morning before breakfast, come back for a swim or spa treatment, then spend the rest of the day by the pool or exploring the Côte d’Azur. The property also offers tennis lessons by reservation, alongside its broader wellness programme and Spa Saint-Martin by La Prairie.
For me, this is exactly the kind of detail that makes a resort stay feel complete.
It is not just about having a tennis court somewhere on the grounds. It is the setting.
White tennis clothes, blue court, green hills, warm Riviera light.
Very simple, very elegant, and probably one of the prettiest places I have played.
